Kevin J. O’Connor is the President and CEO of LifeCenter Northwest, the OPO serving Washington, Montana, Alaska, and Northern Idaho. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for the New England Organ Bank (NEOB) where he oversaw all aspects of the organ donation process including organ donor management, organ allocation, organ preservation, and clinical research. He also served as the Co-Director for the HHS/HRSA Organ Donation & Transplantation Breakthrough Collaborative in 2005 through 2007, and has been a faculty member since 2003. He serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations including Donate Life America, the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, AOPO, Life Alaska Donor Services, and LifeCenter Northwest. Mr. O’Connor has served on numerous AOPO and UNOS Committees. He currently serves on the Membership and Professional Standards Committee of UNOS. He serves on the AOPO Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee. He is a member of the Scientific Technical Advisory Committee for the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. He has co-authored four textbook chapters and numerous articles on topics including organ donor evaluation, organ donor management, and donation after cardiac death. He holds an M.S. degree from Boston College, and B.S. from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He is a graduate of the Northeastern University Physician Assistant Program.
