How to Become an Organ Donor

Organ donation saves lives. Your decision to become an organ donor can make a difference in as many as 50 lives. There are approximately 110,000 people on the transplant waiting list. Every day 18 people die waiting for organs that could have saved their lives. Find your state on this list, and register to be an organ donor today.

Share the Beat

Making the Gift-of-Life a Reality

AST's Employee Leave and Organ Donation Program
This program removes the financial disincentives connected with organ donation – providing organ donors with the ability to conduct this unselfish act, without incurring any financial hardship. Public and private employers across the U.S. are implementing programs that make it easier for their employees to donate their organs to loved ones. View the videos below to learn about Employee Leave and Organ Donation Programs and to view conversations with organ donors whose decisions to give the gift-of-life were assisted by employers whose programs and policies facilitated the process.
