The AST and ESOT are pleased to announce a 2012 joint research grant. This is a one-year grant in the amount of US $45,000 paid to the recipient's institution. The grant is intended to support the recipient's salary and travel expenses and cannot be used for indirect and/or institutional overhead expenses. The grant will be awarded to a recipient submitting a transplantation research grant proposal in either basic or clinical science at a fellowship level.
The grant applicant must either be a member of ESOT or a member of AST. Membership in both societies is encouraged. The applicant must be a resident of a European country who will carry out the proposed research project in a North American institution or a North American resident who will carry out the project in a European institution.
