The National Kidney Foundation's "Third International Symposium on Albuminiria - The Prognostic Role of Albuminuria: Impact on Kidney and Cardiovascular Outcomes" will be held from November 29-December 1, 2011 in Groningen, Netherlands. The American Society of Transplantation (AST) is sending a representative to this symposium and we encourage you to consider attending.
The objective of the symposium is to discuss the evidence that albuminuria is an independent market for the risk of kidney and/or cardiovascular outcomes, and its potential use in practice, based on guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of kidney and cardiovascular disease and on cost-effectiveness in screening programs. During this symposium, key opinion leaders will present and review up to date information on the mechanism of albuminuria and renal/CV disease progression, the role of albuminuria in CKD staging, and discuss cost-effective screening programs, as well as guidelines for diagnosis and treatment.
Attendance for this meeting is limited to 300 participants. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The registration deadline is October 24, but please register early if you would like to attend since space is limited. The registration fee for this conference is 495 Euro and does not include travel costs for participants.
Please visit www.kidney.org/albuminuria to view the full program and register for the symposium.
