Goals and Objectives

At the completion of this symposium, attendees will be able to:

  1. Critically analyze the extent that the diagnosis of chronic allograft nephropathy is problematic.
  2. Explain the pathobiology of chronic allograft nephropathy.
  3. Describe what can be done to alter the rate of decline in renal function.
  4. Interpret the current studies and registry data that examine changes in kidney transplant.
  5. Critically analyze current strategies used to manage recipients of kidney grafts with a diagnosis of chronic allograft nephropathy.
  6. Evaluate whether or not timing and drug interventions can alter the outcomes of transplant recipients prior to or with established chronic allograft nephropathy.
