Sent On Behalf of the ID Guidelines, 3rd Edition Editorial Workgroup
Dear Members of ID COP
We are extremely excited to let you know that the Third Edition of the AST Transplantation Infectious Diseases Guidelines is moving forward.
For this edition of the guidelines, authors will be limited to writing only one chapter. This will expand involvement of more individuals within the ID COP. Similar to previous editions, we will try to have two authors and two reviewers assigned to each chapter.
The guidelines will once again be published in the AJT. However, the turnaround time to write chapters is quite short and authors must return the chapters by June 1, 2012. To facilitate this, authors will receive the prior chapter to use in making updates for the 3rd edition. Each section will also have two expert reviewers. We anticipate the expert reviews to be completed by July 1, 2012.
In order to assist in author and/or reviewer selection, we would ask for everyone's top areas of expertise so that where needed, we can call upon you for help and contributions. Attached is a listing of the proposed table of contents. Please number up to three chapters that you would be comfortable writing or reviewing with one (1) being your top choice. I have included the below chart as an attachment for your convenience.
Please reply to this email by Feb. 20, 2012.
Best wishes,
Emily Blumberg (Editor-in-Chief)
