What Is A COP

A Community of Practice is an autonomous group within the AST that participates in projects important to a specific specialty area. Communities of Practice are self-regulating and are governed by an Executive Committee elected by its members. Because membership is open to anyone interested, they provide the opportunity for involvement to many who would not be able to participate on smaller committees.
